There are 6 remaining SAT and ACT dates for the 2012-13 academic year. Prospects in the following categories should strongly consider taking an exam on at least one of those dates.
1. Members of the 2013 class who have still not earned a standardized test score (SAT or ACT) that will allow them to be eligible for a NCAA or NAIA scholarship.
2. Members of the 2014 class who are hoping to be recruited by the highest level academic institutions at the NCAA Division I, II or III level. These programs understand that you will have another opportunity to take these tests in the fall, but an initial read on your academic progress can be a big boost in the recruiting process.
3. Any underclassman who is hoping to relieve the pressure of earning a qualifying score. With a solid GPA and standardized test score, college coaches can know when watching you this offseason that you are already a likely "qualifier".
